There is a reason you have landed here today. If truth be told, we could all benefit from accessing counselling at some point in our lives. I found myself in need of counselling years ago and decided to explore talking therapy. I was sceptical as to how talking could help me. What I hadn’t expected was the transformational way in which I would be able to live my life, how I manage triggers, and how I was finally able to feel emotions which had been buried for years.

This led me to train as a counsellor as I wanted others to feel a sense of living their best-balanced life too.

As a person-centred counsellor, I have a natural calm and non-judgemental nature. I offer genuine compassion, empathy, understanding and authenticity. Clients report that my natural approach quickly puts them at ease. Working in a compassionate and open-minded way, clients are able to trust the process of talking therapy with positive results.

I know what it feels like to take that first step and contact a counsellor.  Let me put you at ease.  We will only explore and delve as deep as you want to go.  You will set the pace of each session.  I will provide a safe space for you to explore whatever you bring to each session.

Exploring how you are feeling and why, can help you move through your current state of awareness. You might be facing a difficult challenge, or feeling like you are stuck and can’t move forwards.  This can manifest in a lack of motivation, feeling lethargic, and unable to make decisions or focus.  You may have experienced trauma, which can be held in the body and mind for years. 

Unresolved Trauma

Unresolved trauma can take on many forms resulting in some individuals struggling with their jobs, relationships and mental health issues.  Counselling can help identify triggers, develop coping strategies, and decrease the symptoms, all in a safe and supportive environment.

Seeking support with trauma can be beneficial in dealing with its effects.

I work successfully with clients who have experienced trauma, more specifically childhood trauma, and can hold the space for you to lean into whatever comes into your awareness. Together we can unlock traumatic experiences and discuss any necessary skills for you to gain control over your trauma reactions, whilst ensuring you are not re-traumatised.    

Safe Space

I provide a safe space for us to investigate your issues together.  Through gentle enquiry, we can explore your thoughts and feelings, find ways for you to heal, and enable you to cope with the effects of traumatic experiences. 

Healing and change will occur within a warm and trusting therapeutic relationship.
